MoneySavingCentre - Why Make A Will?

Dying without a Will, or intestate as it is known, can lead to problems such as uncertainty as to who benefits from your estate, delays in payment to beneficiaries and arguments within the family to name but a few. Taxes may have to be paid which otherwise could have been avoided and all this at a time when the family should be left to cope with its grief.

If you don't make a will then there is a very good chance that the Government will make it for you!

Married couples tend to think that everything automatically goes to their partner if either of them die. If you die without making a Will it could mean that your family or your spouse could suffer financially, maybe even being forced to sell the family home.

The amount of people who have not made a will is quite staggering, we find that around four out of five people we talk to in our town centre office in Wigan leave themselves and their families exposed to untold problems by not making a will.

So why have they not done it?

The usual excuses are as follows:

"We have not got round to it?"

"We don't know how to go about it."

"It's too expensive"

Actually making a will is very straightforward. You just need to be 18, of sound mind and to have an hour of spare time.

Making a Will is easy these days, it can be done via the internet or by telephone but for such an important issue there is no substitute for good old fashioned face to face advice. Our Will writing professional will either visit you at your home at a time to suit yourself or in our town centre office in Wigan and best of all the cost will come as a very pleasant surprise!

So don't put it off any longer, simply complete our simple Will enquiry form on this page and provide your family with the security that they deserve.
